I like these designs better than the newer ones (mainly Nova's hair) They just have more of a Pokemon feel to em.

I think ditching the converse was a good choice. Converse just seem too specific, and given the flat souls and thin material just wouldn't be a practical adventure shoe.

That's just the style with which they were drawn. Look beyond that, at their actual designs. I prefer the way they were drawn in the other images, but their designs sit better with me here.
